This blog will be about how and why the country sucks. It will also point out the positive aspects of the Philippines through mocking the embarrassing aspects of the country. When the mainstream media is useless, netizens have to pick up the slack no matter their competencies.

alin ba ang mas epektibo? ang manlait o tumulong? ang problema ng bansang Pilipinas ay kulang na kulang ang nagsasakripisyo para sa kapakanan ng nakakarami.
tagalinang
One has to acknowledge and identify the problem first. Then one can set out to fix those problems. I’m afraid many Filipinos are unaware and/or purposely ignoring the problems.
Your country will never move forward unless you Filipnos learn to swallow bitter facts about yourselves. Truth hurts, and it hurts more to Filipinos because you are the most emotional beings on this planet.
If you learn to get hold of your emotions and use your brains instead then there’s hope your country will be civilized.
In Asia you are the most un-Asian people. Learn to get rid of your slave attitude, work hard to identify yourselves as Filipinos and not Spanish or American.
Learn to love your own language, your skin color, your Filipino faces. Stop looking up at white people. Be yourself.
tama ang sinabi ng site..

I bet you’re just a low life scum who does nothing but ponder all day about “why the Philippines sucks”. And it is very evident through your website. Hell, I’d go as even far as to saying you just use Google translate or some other internet source just to speak the language.
And even if you are Filipino. Who would blog about racist ideals on one particular race? Dedicating a good chunk of their lives directed towards hate and despise? And judging by your website, I’m sure not too many of the public knows about this, so why waste your time?
Ponder that.
Jethro, Jethro. I suggest you read my blog entries in their entirety. In addition, look up constructive criticism.
Tell me, is there a law that forbids Filipinos from pointing out the flaws of Filipino society? How can people fix society if they don’t know the problem?
Maybe giving positive feedback might help your people more than disparaging criticism.
Janis
There are those who focus on positive feedback, but I’m not sure it works. That’s one of the reasons I decided on an approach that will ruffle a few feathers.
If you’re interested on a site that focuses on positive aspects of the country, you could check out http://www.goodnewspilipinas.com/ . One of its creators is a BBC Asia financial correspondent who got tired of negative depictions of his native land.
actually i will said this you my friend Janis right. there’s was no effective way even you give positive or shit negative feed back the only was and the solution is the Filipino must supposed to do the thing that can help Thier own society look the Tondo manila are you proud in that place the i remember when i passing through in that place i able to see many garbages and clogged gutters and many hungry street children playing across the street. LOOK the dirty RIVER OF PASIG MANY GARBAGES DOWN ALONG IT. THE DIRTY MANILA BAY the government didn’t find the way already to clear up the garbages. I AM A FILIPINO BUT I DIDN’T REALLY PROUD IN MY BLOOD ALTHOUGH THE OTHERS ARE RIGHT FILIPINO ARE STUBBORN AND LAZY SO THEY ARE STILL POOR. I DIDN’T A BLAME MY SELF BUT IT’S BETTER TO BE AMERICAN BRITISH ETC THAN TO BE A FILIPINO OBSERVE THIER PLACES COMPARE TO US. I PROUD TO MY SELF BUT I DIDN’T PROUD IN MY COUNTRY AND BLOOD I BORN VISAYAS NOT IN LUZON AND EVEN MINDANAO. SORRY TO SAY THIS THAT I DIDN’T PROCLAIM AND DECLARE PATROITISM TO MY SELF AND TO THE OTHERS BECAUSE IT ‘S WAS ALREADY BEEN WORSEN AND WORSEN AND I DIDN’T KNOW ALREADY WHAT’S THIER MIND
I just got to correct you. Since when did the Filipino’s become a race? This article has nothing to do with the Asian race in general. But why don’t you enlighten us how the Philippines is better than other Asian countries. I mean at one time, they were second to Japan and now they are falling behind countries like Thailand. The economy here is a only a little better than Vietnam, but Vietnam is becoming a more desired tourist destination. At least foreigners don’t get held for ransom as much as they do in the Philippines. And the guy who wrote this didn’t just put down the Philippines for the hell of it. The country has done it all on their own. Really, why would a random guy just put down a country that most people around the world couldn’t even point out on a map? Corrupted governments, so-called people power movements and now a president who wouldn’t even be able to get a job at a mercury drug store. But oh the People Power started here in the Philippines, and then what? What happened after that? You replaced a person with a person that knows nothing about running a country. And then after the first one, it then became a political tool against people like Estrada, Ramos, Arroyo and a possible one if Noynoy lost last elections. It’s all bullshit. If you say you have pride in your country, tell me where that pride comes from. Do you have pride in corruption, poverty and a mass small mind mentality? I mean, you got movies created here that have almost the same plot every time (crazy middle aged woman, gay guy and a couple in love), but it makes a load of money all the time. The gold is in the indie films, which isn’t promoted by the country. But the real gold is in the land itself, which is being destroyed by public pissers, litterers and much more inferior acts that only happens in a society like this who accepts it as a way of life. And I have a question, how can a major Catholic country praise the Lord, but at the same time believe in Chinese or other stupid superstitions? Do you know the meaning of contradiction? It’s because as time goes on, the people here become more inferior. But when people stand up, the mass throws them down. Why? Because that’s pride in the Philippines.
like like! especially the last part!
I don’t quite understand why Filipinos claim ‘People Power’ to have originated from Philippines. If you mean the phrase ‘People Power’ itself then maybe it’s true.
But if you mean the act of overthrowing a tyranny by the army and populace then search for ‘Carnation Revolution’ of Portugal in 1974. Try here: http://www.mintpressnews.com/40-years-revolution-portugal-angry/189613/
or search Google Images for “portugal carnation revolution”. I think the photos may tell a similar story.
hahaaaa i like the way u think
Crap, you’re just pointing out dysfunctions in Pinoy Society. A monkey could do that.
If a monkey reveals the flaws of Filipino society, would Filipinos debate whether to catch the monkey or label it a monkey crab before proceeding to eat it? Could a super monkey be capable of distracting the attention of the regular Filipino from Willie Revilliame’s superb charm?
Great stuff!
Excellent blog!
Keep going dude.
BongV
Thanks. I appreciate it. It’s been fun and informative following you and Benigno from Filipino Voices to the AntiPinoy.
jstuff29,
Exactly, how can one solve the problem, if they don’t even know what the problem is, or that there’s a problem.
95% of pinoys will probably hate you but that’s expected. Balat sibuyas tayo and take everything personally with a closed mind.
Props to you for having the courage to post the truth!
Zombie
Thanks. I’m glad you like what I’ve written.
I won’t waste my love on a nation!
hey i just stumbled upon this page… and i’d just like to say that i love your writting, and it’s nice to see other people share the same feeling i do about the philippines.
please keep up the good work
Jon
I’m glad you like my blog. I suggest you visit Anti-Pinoy for a more in depth look at what ails the country.
With corruption bursting at the seams in our government, terrorism raising their flags globally, teleseryes that are so unoriginal and irritatingly cliched and stupid, stubborn filipinos, the Philippines will never progress.
Everyone who supports this site are the only ones who are awake from the Filipino Matrix. Philippines sucks!
P.S. You should really cut Charice Pempengco, Arnel Pineda and Pacquaio some slack.
NotaPatriot
Yup, we need more Filipinos to be rescued from the Matrix for the country to make some progress.
I’ve already made my points about Charice and Arnel. As for Manny, I have some simmering non sporting related criticism or two heading his way. Most if not all of them will be more directed at the artista and trapo angles.
One thing Filipinos have to learn, Fix your country up before flattering yourselves.
I totally understand your point of view about the Philippines. As an American who has roots in the Phillippines, I used to be full of optimism that Philippines would improve and that new leaders in the government would put the best interests of the people first.
But over the years, nothing has changed. Most politicians only want to get into office to line their own pockets. They don’t care about the people or making the country better. The few politicians in the Philippines who aren’t corrupt have no power compared the ones that are.
The only way a Filipino who wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his/her mouth to improve his/her life is to leave the country to become a maid, houseboy, or menial laborer in some other country. The Philippines is the Mexico of Asia.
Honestly, its hard to find things to be proud of in the Philippines. But I cannot deny who I am and where my family came from.
Last being said, Mexico of Asia, when China starts it’s invasion of Asia, the Philippines will be the first to be nuked by China…
Yep, our country sucks because the politicians are doing it wrong. I’m Filipino and I hate the Philippines. The Filipino media is pretty much like from the Southeast of the United States and the soap dramas on TFC and GMA are so god damn horrible. I only like Pacquiao as a boxer, but when it comes to politics, it’s up to him, let being rot filled with ignorant rednecks of Asia. As regarding to Pacquiao and Carolla, both are even stupider than me. Pacquiao actually forgave Carolla because of Carolla’s remarks on Filipinos? Well, to put it this way; even though I’m Filipino and hate my country, Carolla is indeed a fucking moron. I’m never a fan of Carolla because he’s stupid and not funny. The only funny thing about him when he voiced Death from Family Guy. I agree of his points and as for his remarks, well, made my point. I was “brain-damaged” back home and as of now, I’m not.
I don’t care about the pride of the Philippines and I’m not a catholic, I’m a deist. Nationalism does hurt and I prefer not to nationalize any country. In the Philippines, they get provinces like the ones in the Southeast of US. We have to realize that a person like me should pack up our stuff in the Philippines, get on the plane and leave to live in the first world country like the US and Japan and you can’t come back, ever. Nice to see someone Filipino who is god damn brave enough to hate his/her country. Kudos, bro, kudos.
You said that right…all the shows and movies are horrible..always on domestic violence and alot of yelling, shouting, gay’s, and ugly people…..No hope
That is very true,I have seen way
To many ugly Fillipino’s,but some accually turn out pretty good
You know why the Philippines is a third world country? Because it is populated with Tagalogs. The Tagalogs are monkey brain with human body. They have a very bad habit and the only thing they know what to do is to produce more Tagalog babies to over populate the country with idiots. If the Philippines want to progress, they should kill Tagalogs up to the last one.
FYI, one of the few (and I emphasize the word few) things the Philippines has going for it is that it doesn’t have deadly sectarian divisions like in other countries. The situation in Mindanao is tame compared to the more troubled areas where sectarian differences have led to mini genocides.
Think over your anti Tagalog POV. It might actually lead to the country sucking even more.
Thank you for this blog! This is brilliant!
I hope you continue writing and ruffling not a few feathers out there. Can’t stand all these fake ‘Pinoy Priders’ who can’t take criticism of their culture. That’s why there’s no change, and the country continues to suck. These people are part of the problem themselves.
Keep on writing!
I am extremely offended by this blog’s heading or title. “Philippines Sucks”? How dare you insult my country. Now all in cyberspace, the whole universe, are laughing at us. What’s all the bickering about?
What you’re doing now, in this space, at this time – these are the very things that put us down; all the more making us all look so inferior to others in this world.
What an extremely unhealthy, uncivilized way to spend precious time.
I love my own, warts and all.
It’s only the truth….if you have any better news about the Philippines instead of Manny Pacquiao who is now living in Los Angeles for good, then bring it out…If not, I don’t see any progress in your country. Philippines and Mexico are the worst countries for GDP. And what’s the deal with Filipinos and gayism….It’s so bad always seeing gays in shows and movies in the Philippines…it is discusting and sick.
I agree with the title of your blog. Yes Philippines sucks! that is because people like you exists.
i like what you just said. i just don’t know what to say about this blog. i just don’t know why he can’t see whats good here in the philippines.. o.o
Kilkan, the existence of specific people in no way causes the problems in the Philippines. I feel that the individuals who live here, must stand up and end the poor services. The treatment you receive at NSO, NBI, etc. is poorer than the treatment of cattle being led to slaughter.
Kilkan, if your comments were directed at me, I am heat-broken once again. What you said will probably keep me thinking for days and days on end. Is it truly because people like me exist that my country is what you say it is?
It would be great if some of you guys – Filipinos, I mean – start with your own family (children, spouse, parents, immediate relatives) and convince them to look at things your way. Mold them into exactly how you want a Filipino to be. You obviously have a very clear picture/image of the ideal Filipino, an ideal citizen of the world. Do tell what happens in ten years.
That only happens if people are willing to listen and admit their own inadequacies.. which wont happen because Filipinos are full of misplaced pride. A bunch of ignorant people who think they know better than everyone. This generalization is applicable to 90% of Filipinos.
LOLOLOL
its funny how a seemingly smart talking/typing person like you is spending so much time making a site about why my country sucks. Mate, if you go to my country and live there for a few weeks you’ll see that we filo’s are one of the happiest races on earth the way we are even without the money or the fame that america’s got. I’m currently living in aussi which has a close lifestyle to america and i know what it’s like living the richer lifestyle.
To tell you the truth if i wasn’t so bored i wouldn’t bother speaking to people like you because i know you’ve had tons of other messages from my fellow filo’s. Mate, what’s the matter with you, did a filipino guy beat you or something, cos i dont believe you really just made hate site on philippines just cos you felt like it. What’s really the goal ur trying to achieve by doing this?
TO ALL FELLOW FILO’S ABOUT TO SEND THIS GUY A COMPLAINT LIKE I JUST DID:
mnga kababayan wag nalang natin ito papansin, we’re just giving him something to do by complaining 😀 MABUHAY PILIPINAS!
what you said about one of “the happiest races in the world” could be true. it could, for people like you who live somewhere near utopia. but my dear, i’m afraid that is not the case all the time.
perhaps you do not have an idea about how sad or how hard life in the philippines is. most filipinos smile a lot not because they are happy but because their life is funny, way more like a tragic comedy. or their life is so hard that they cannot frown anymore. yes, filipino people laugh a lot because we have to mask a lot.
i stand with the writer of this blog. identify what the problems are. as diverse as our opinions are our approaches to solutions.
Good points, Jumar. I agree with you especially when you wrote: “most filipinos smile a lot not because they are happy but because their life is funny, way more like a tragic comedy. or their life is so hard that they cannot frown anymore. yes, filipino people laugh a lot because we have to mask a lot.”
Sa totoo lang, ganoon din ako noong nasa Pilipinas ako at kulang sa mga opportunities and basic essentials. Looking from the outside, the way the Philippines is run and the its present condition lead to extreme disappointment.
mabuhaaay =)
O YEA I FORGOT
are u filipino?
‘Tol, Pinoy ako at ako’y sangayon sa ‘yo. Isa pa, kaya ganto ang Pinas, dahil sa religions or cults, SUPER corrupt government, overpopulation, lack of education, lack of justice, etc.
And now add the hostage taking and murdering of Hong Kong nationals on the bus in Manila to the list.
Articles from this website makes me sick but it just points the obvious. Sometimes I tend to hate Filipinos for their greedy and envious nature.. I do try to break the cycle so that my future kids won’t have to be embarrassed about his/her ethnic background.
kapatid, nagpupugay kami sa iyo at sa ginagawa mo! ipagpatuloy mo yan.
Thank you. I appreciate the kind words.
Greedy, lying, low I Q, self centered, thieves and self absorbed. That is the Pinoy
It is so sad of the Philippines…Once a notarized and progressive country back in the 50’s and 60’s, and even during some time during the Marcos era..Oh what has happened…Just look at the shows, media, and movies, and you can see how far down the Philipppines has dropped in its stature…All the shows and media is on domestic violence and no money and alot of shouting and yelling. I think the Philippines and Mexico are tied neck and neck for the two countries going down. I would say the Philippines is worse culturally because Filipino’s glamorize homosexuality…If Darwin was still alive, he would have studied a new breed, half man/half woman, breeded by filipinos. Are filipino’s really christian? or is religion a joke in the Phil. Out of all the races I have dealt with, the race that has so many contradictions are Filipinos….What’s wrong with the Filipino…
I have no more words to say except….no hope….
The country has far more problems than homosexuality and the impression of superficial Christianity, and it’s debatable whether those two problems are significant at all.
I hate all the filifinos in the world.
1. smells bad
2. corrupted totally
3. loser
4. small mind
5. fucking crazy english(They call it’s taglish)
* There’s no any country like the philiipines in the world.
Strange world…. Bless damn country….zzz
I’m with you. Keep awakening those ignorant fools.
Philippines does not suck!!! YOU suck though!!!
Please explain why he sucks.
Hmmm. You’re an intelligent guy. “Salute”. You have a strong point here actually. and I guess you feel like you are actually helping and/or making a difference by making “highly-critical” articles highlighting Filipino traits that you call “Flawed”.
So I guess also, you feel like being the “Genuine” patriot here. Because you think by doing what you do you are doing your country a favor. I’d like to think that also. I’d like to bash Pinoys for being what they are, I like to tell them how stupid they are but come to think of it, I will not do anything good at all.
Now let me ask you, what have you done for your country that made you think that you have the moral ascendancy to write all of these hateful things towards your fellow Pinoys?
You could have use your talent in writing in a positive manner. You could have set an example by posting what you have done differently for your country that will give you credibility as the “Ideal” Pinoy.
But then who am I to tell you these right? You are above every Filipino because you think differently from among us Indios. I could just imagine the joy it brings to you that every other day or every week someone will discover your articles and will try to communicate to you just like me. Then they will leave their “dumb” comments and you’ll laugh and bash them. It must be like a drug gratifying your egoistic and righteous self.
OH well Congratulations I guess is an understatement.
DON’T blame the Philippines, DON’T blame the Filipinos, but DO blame the F-ing MEDIA!
I think you have a very interesting site here.
What I actually think though is that you are an american born of filipino heritage. You have adopted the colonial mentality and in turn are easy to pass judgement on the culture which gives you your main core values and quite honestly the same one that has given you the ability to criticize online.
You lose site that the current “people power movements” you see in the middle east have been based on the massive “people power” movement of the Philippines.
That “spoken word” thought to be born in new york is not the first…that a Filipino past time in art and culture was to debate in prose.
While I agree that the government is corrupt, it’s easy to point fingers from the home your filipino parents built. You were born in your position by chance – make no mistake there is nothing special about you and your perceived heightened enlightenment.
You are nothing more than a bitter colonized filipino who is unable to forge your way the states, so you find a need to critique your own people and their “stupidity” – but of course….your feelings of self-worthlessness has to be validated some how….it’s a slave mentality.
I think it’s somewhat sad though. That your parents struggled to bring you to the States for more opportunity and you take that opportunity by hiding and ranting in the virtual world rather than getting out there and actually making a change in the real world.
pathetic. oh sorry maybe i should put it in a language you can understand. “american born filipinos who judge their own people without merit suck”
yes moderate the comments. afterall your cyber world is about you.
@Observing. The ones living in the Philippines are the slaves, while the ones who left have been freed. He was able to step back and really think about how his life was back home. American born Filipinos are not the bad guys. People like you just find ways to tear them down out of your own personal anger that you were not able to find a better life. You’ll say to them things like, your English is too perfect making you not a true Filipino. And somehow jokes including thick Filipino accents speaking in English or something about their ear/nose bleeding from speaking English has become the favorite joke here. Yeah in a country where English is considered a second language. It’s stupid. And you talk about People Power of the Philippines. It was a complete failure. It was all hype with nothing to back it up afterwards. Take down Marcos and put somebody with only a good heart to take his place. Sound intelligent to you? A real People Power is happening in the Middle East. It’s more real than the People Power here. Because they’re not doing it for other politicians. They’re not doing it to fulfill the desire of getting someone out of office. They are doing it for themselves. How many People Power movements does a country need? One should be enough, but another against Estrada? What about just a regular impeachment process like in many democratic country? And a small one against Ramos? Then against Arroyo, a person that was personally selected by the Aquinos? And then one Noynoy threatened to create if he lost the elections. On an outsiders view, People Power of the Philippines has lost it’s meaning. It is nothing more than part of a political arsenal that is used against people that the Aquino’s don’t agree with. And to say someone feels no worth, because they don’t agree with their countries direction is your way of injecting yourself with false pride. I bet you even heard cheers in your head once you clicked post comment.
I agree Filipinos do suck. They lack culture, nothing they do is orginal. The frickin lumpia is the frickin egg rolls the chinese made. The adobo is also similiar to meat dishes orginating from china and vietnam. They steal other people’s culture and call it their own.
The other day I came across a scholarship and it says this scholarship is offered to hispanics, african americans, and FILIPINOS! I WAS LIKE WTF
oh it makes sense because the filipinos are the only stupid ones amongst the other asians
The most important thing for the Philippines would be to stop making so many fucking babies.
Which requires :
– The catholic church (or any church) recognizing that contraceptive measures are a good thing
– Women being given very easy access to contraceptive measures
– Big families not being recognize as a good thing and not promoted in any way
This is a great blog! Great work whoever you are behind this blog.
Ok first off, people who don’t realize that all of the other countries in the world that think their own nations suck will probably be under the impression that you’re comparing our country to theirs and not with the most ideally imaginable Philippines, thus will be frustrated with you. Please have patience with them since the Philippines is indeed ranking lower in power compared to other countries and they just want to express the potential of our country in their own terms.
To the readers: Every nation has imperfections, has beauties, has potentials, has shortcomings, and even has their own people blogging about their countries’ flaws . (Type in google USA sucks, France sucks, or Japan sucks you’ll see lots of search entries.) Instead of looking at his articles as hate blogs, look at them as a scratch list of the things we don’t like in our country, that we should focus on trying to do something about. Understand that the blogger is obviously very well-informed and understanding of our country and has absolutely no reason to incite rage or unhealthy arguments so just try to digest his work. Look for something truly false and indigestible in what he writes and expresses then you can bash him for all I care. Otherwise, you have no right to get personal with him or stop him from what he does, heck you’re an enemy of the Philippines if you stop someone or something from inspiring, patronizing, or revealing the truth about our country, even the ugly ones because the truth is what man needs to enjoy life to the fullest there is. Now if you’re judging him already either positively or negatively after reading a few of his points, go back to your bed so you might grow some more.
Everyone has their God-given rights, their freedom, their own liking, and fears as well. If an American likes Chinese food a lot then what’s the problem? If an Aussie loves pasta, pizza, and lasagna so what? If a Pinoy likes to watch Glee, The Simpsons, or WWE more than Filipino shows, can you prove that he’s wrong with his viewing lifestyle? We’re human beings, divided by a common history, united by a common sense – a common sense that is possible for humans to have a single race. That may explain the liking of Filipinos with Starbucks, almonds, BMWs and so on. They may just want to have a common experience with people from other countries. Nonetheless, that doesn’t excuse each race to forget their own uniqueness and contribution to the world. Having said that, what’s the problem then? The problem is that each one hasn’t realized that even their own countries’ problems have become small, petty compared to something greater that has been upsetting man for all his life – like a crook working for a mob boss, the thing I’m talking about being the mob boss and the mob boss being the greater evil. With all the experience, knowledge, achievements, and great qualities the world has collectively accumulated, why does it still have many races, why is it still divided? It is fear – fear of the Americans to have their freedom undermined, fear of the Japanese to be underestimated, fear of the Philippines to be mistreated and the list goes on. And guess what, there’s a fear that’s pumping up these fears, like the mob boss overseeing and providing assistance to its crook to do the dirty job. It’s the fear of change. Fear of change makes fear of having one’s freedom undermined, being underestimated or mistreated look very frightening and huge while in reality, its really just nothing but a small cricket creating a distracting, noisy sound. Think about it. Being mistreated isn’t scary if you can change and be a better person but it becomes scary if you will not change and be mistreated for the rest of your life. The world needs to finally acknowledge the mob boss more than its crook. It needs to recognize and see the greatness (or opposite of greatness whatever that is) of fear of change and its real painful, agonizing, deadly effects to everyone in the world, dramatically more than the petty individual fears.
Because common sense tells us its possible to have one common race, I believe that we also share common feelings, potentials and capabilities. I believe that a good-hearted Japanese will certainly feel sorrow if a loved one dies just like a good-hearted Filipino would if his/her loved one dies. I also believe that a Filipino team can be a champion in baseball if they were to be truly serious and passionate about it. This is a truth overlooked because of fear and pride. That’s why there will always be a good man among the crowd who will think that his own country sucks during these times because he feels the bigger truth and got tired of being blind to it and wanted to see it.
Now, if there’s such a thing as a greater evil, then a greater good must exist. Greater good is the good which is better than another good. It’s good to have a mansion, have an expensive car, and have a lot of money. It is really good. But there is something better than this good. It’s better to have a good standard house enough for you to live happily with your loved ones and let the extra space on the lot of the land to be used by another family in need of the space. It’s better to have a nice standard car that wouldn’t induce unwanted attention and enough for you to travel. Although some people even myself would find this hard to take in and accept as something better, it really is logically better. Who knows, a cop on foot might borrow your car while chasing a wanted felon who gets in a car so you have to lend yours and if it’s a Royce or even a Jaguar, it might get wasted during the chase. And of course, it’s better if you only have enough money for you to live in content everyday. Having a lot more money than necessary will really make others to become unnecessarily overly competitive which will eventually lead to cutthroat. Now if you’re saying “why won’t just others not feel envy with me having an overly comfortable life?” Heck we’re no God, we’re humans! We will naturally feel envy as a response to your more than necessary comfort of living – your greed – and no one can change that. It’s natural and we should learn to accept it and live with it properly.
I admit that I’m not practicing what I’ve just told. I’M A HYPOCRITE. I wouldn’t do it because I fear the rest of the world wouldn’t do this with me. Come on who wants to be left out? I don’t have the guts and the strength to be left out. I’m not Jesus. I can’t do it. Can you? If you can, then you must be the second messiah we’re waiting for. So if there’s no Jesus, one will only be willing to do it if the rest of the world will do it together with him.
My objective was to inform and only that. Pardon some of the errors with grammar because I’m not a native American. Mas magaling ako mag-Tagalog. Peace everyone, spread the word, and just know yourself well because who knows, you might be the one we’re waiting for.
It is good to see the frank and sharp criticisms here.
I am Filipino. It hurts as truth hurts.
I am addressing this to my fellow Filipinos:
It is true that our government officials and personnel, politicians, and political organizations are all extremely, disgustingly corrupt, with few exceptions.
But they are not the root of the problem. They are just the rotten fruits of a rotten value-system. Who elects these thieves into position – the people. Who are so ready to sell their votes every election – the people. Who are so ready to pay a bribe to get away with obligations – almost everyone. Heck, most people do not even bother to pay their taxes! It takes two to tango. As the Filipino saying goes, “walang manloloko kung walang nagpapaloko” (There is no crook if there is no willing or gullible victim).
Everyone breaks the rules, sadly. Just see how chaotic our streets are. Jeepneys blocking the roads.
There is pervasive breaking and bending of rules. When somebody insists on the rules he is branded as “mayabang” (arrogant). anyone who does not participate in the take is considered “walang pakisama” (does not get along).
As Randy David (a true Filipino nationalist) pointed out, beneath the Filipino’s veneer of rationality, formality, and lawfulness is a tribalistic and irrational being.
We Filipinos take pride in our being “nationalistic” and our being “Pinos”, and are so quick-tempered when a foreigner points out our flaws. Yet we do not lift a finger to uphold the law. Our nationalism is just a “kapikunan” (a momentary temper).
What have we done to our country. As several commenters here have mentioned we have fallen behind from #2 position in Asia to among the last. The economic numbers do not even tell how bad it is.
For example in per-capital GDP terms we are higher than Vietnam or Cambodia. I have been around those countries on our own and seen how the people live. Their poor are much better off than out poor here in Manila. That is because we have a massive oligarchy here who perpetuate their wealth not through hard work and ingenuity, but by corruption and riding on the backs of the poor, left-overs of our Spanish colonial past.
SO WHO IS SUFFERING? WHO IS PAYING THE PRICE? It is us the people – hardworking workers, businessmen and professionals.
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?
Do we become cynical and join the looting of our country?
Do we remain fearful and willing victims of the corrupt and abusive?
Do we resign, pack-up and leave the country, as so many have done?
DO WE NOT WANT TO BE HEARTILY AND GENUINELY PROUD OF OUR COUNTRY?
IS THIS THE COUNTRY WE WILL BE PASSING ON TO OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN?
EVERY FILIPINO – TIME FOR DECISIVE LAWFUL PEACEFUL ACTIN!!! DO SOMETHING. START WITH YOURSELF, IN YOUR FAMILY, IN YOUR BACKYARD, IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD, AMONG YOUR FRIENDS AND RELATIVES, IN YOUR BARANGAYS.
PEACEFULLY BUT FIRMLY CONFRONT AND CONSCIENTICIZE EVERY MINOR LAWBREAKER.
WORK TO THROW THE BIG CROOKS IN JAIL.
MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL, SET THE EXAMPLE!!!
BE THE CHANGE THE CHANGE THAT YOU WANT TO HAPPEN!!!

I have to agree with the blog. I am Filipino. The blog isn’t racist. If you tell someone else’s mistakes, would you be called racist, too?
Before we start moving forward, we have to learn from our mistakes. Once you know your mistakes, accept it. Ang tigas ng ulo niyo.
Tanggapin niyo na mahina nga ang Pinoy. Masyadong corrupt ang government natin.
Kayo rin naman ang nag-appoint sa mga taong yan dba?
Why the hell did you vote for noynoy? Kasi sikat sya?
Honestly, sige nga. Kasi sikat parents nya?
Ano ba nagawa ng parents nya? C’mon, tell me. Reality lang.
Oo, hindi maganda ang martial law ni Marcos pero tignan niyo:
Ano ba nagawa ni Marcos? Dba nadisiplina nya ang KATIGASAN NG ULO ng pinoy? Dba naging One Peso is One Dollar? May nakagawa rin ba ng ganun?
Tignan nyo reality with an open mind.
Never kayo nakinig. Laging uso ang gusto nyo. Laging sikat ang binoboto nyo.
Boto nyo ang marunong magdala ng bansa. Hindi magpatawa o magpaiyak sa TV.
…and another thing, bakit ayaw nyo sa RH Bill? Gusto nyo marami ang bata sa paligid? Gusto nyo marami kayong anak?
It’s hard to raise one kid.
BOBO ANG PINOY. and pag natanggap nyo na, that’s the time na gugustuhin nyo na nga magbago.
bobo daw tayong lahat ? =l
😉
Kung maka-react ka naman. C’mon honestly, alam nating lahat bobo talaga mga Pinoy. Oo, pinoy ako. And the way you react shows me that you’re the one who’s stupid. Hindi ba tama mga sinabi ko? The truth hurts kaya ganyan ang reaction mo.
As much as it hurts me, mahirap talaga mapatino ang Pilipino.
I’m not saying lahat ng Pinoy ay bobo. Pero karamihan ng Pinoy, bobo. Kumbaga, bobo ang masa.
Examples for your close-mindedness.
Bakit iboboto si FPJ, Pacquiao at Noynoy?
Bakit ayaw niyo sa RH Bill? Gusto niyong maraming buhay sa pinas? Dba overpopulated na tayo at maraming nagugutom sa kalye?
Pag maraming gutom, it leads to desperation. Then it leads to crime. Di mo ba naisip yun?
If you speak the truth against your countrymen for the better of your countrymen, would you call that person BOBO?
Try asking intelligent people.
They’ll be the ones to call you BOBO with the way you reacted, BOBO.
Have a great day.
😉
then now who’s stupid? 😉
you said
“kung matalino ka…. ayusin mo ang statement mo… nilahat mo lahat ng Pilipino”
and I said
“I’m not saying lahat ng Pinoy ay bobo. Pero karamihan ng Pinoy, bobo. Kumbaga, bobo ang masa.”
ang galing mo magsulat, pero d ka magaling magbasa..
Let me add some views about the blog. I would say most filipinos are stubborn and hard to discipline. They have this attitude of what we call “kung makakalusot”, okay ! Ex: .A sign that says “One Way”, ” No littering”, “No Smoking”, ” Post no bill”,” No trespassing” and many more. All these are just being ignored at if not just letting it pass by through their minds. An overpass bridge worth thousands even millions of pesos is not being used by most pedestrians crossing the busy roads and the result is accidents and even deaths. Squatters along the railroad or what they call ” home along the riles” is a good example of stubbornness among pinoys. How many deaths have been recorded in these areas and yet are just being ignored, the ones living at the river banks, under the bridges and other risky areas. How can we eradicate poverty if most of of the people in our government are corrupt and coddlers of professional squatters in exchange of the votes during elections. resort in vote buying on most stupid and dumb filipinos satisfied of 500 pesos in exchange of their votes and rely on broken promises. Actors and actresses known for infidelities but are famous are chosen to seat in high positions in the gov’t, elected politicians always resort to blaming past administrations to cover up their “bubu’s” for media mileage and to remain in their seats for years even for a decade. Instead of giving attention at the present economic condition of the country politicians spends millions of pesos for the session hearings of these non sense events.C’mon men, these people act as if they are clean and honest politicians. oh really!?
The problems with the Philippines could be solved with the elimination of capitalism and its replacement with a people-oriented economic model, proletarian socialism. Worker ownership of the means of production in other words if 50 people work in a factory those 50 workers OWN it, not one miserly factory owner keeping the profits for himself and paying his workers a pittance. Capitalism is the problem. It is why the Philippines sucks, why the U.S.A. sucks, why every capitalist country sucks in varying degrees.
The Philippines needs grassroots-level direct democracy, the power to have recall elections at any time, easy access to birth control and to demand that all U.S. military personnel are removed from Filipino soil as well as demanding that either the U.S. bar any C.I.A. personnel from its embassy or that the U.S. close down its embassy period. Because as everyone knows, any American embassy in any country is a hotbed of C.I.A. terrorist spies. The C.I.A. is the world’s foremost terrorist organization. Abu Sayyaf is fake, it’s a cutout group like “Al Qaeda” run by intelligence agents whose purpose is to provide an excuse for other things like a U.S. military presence in your country. These are all things the Philippines needs: 1.Abolish capitalism and replace it with proletarian socialism; 2.access to birth control; 3.demand an end to the American military and C.I.A. terrorist presence in your country. Do these things and I promise you that the Philippines will look like a totally different country than it does now. It will be a good example to the rest of Asia and could be the starting point for a pan-Asian rejection of capitalist slavery.
Well, this blog site has many reasons why our country sucks. It’s true, i can tell. For me, the author has his OWN opinion and we cannot judge that because it’s freedom of expression. I RESPECT you dear author for what you had stated here and you really analyzed very well on how to teach us what is RIGHT from WRONG. The Filipino culture had a big influence during Spanish to American colonization that we can’t regret. Social inequality is still active though. This is okay for me because i accept criticisms, and i don’t take it personal. Good day and God bless.
This country Sucks!! the people sucks!! there’s no hope. Lets be real!! Well, soon the whole archipelago will sink into water with NYC, LA and other Plate countries. So why bother…
Ur an idiot.. you have NOO clue … That comment about the CIA and U.S presence…don’t believe everything you read…Your buying into a conspiracy theory from word of mouth. Or convincing articles. Truth is, you don’t really know. Some facts are true though, and that’s the world we live in. There is good and evil..and a grey area. I think the majority of people fall in the grey. Sure every government has a purpose for getting involved in some way or another but a U.S Base in the PI would boost it’s economy. ALL governments are corrupt, since the beginning of civilization.. .. on another note, this whole site is one big Troll. I mean sure you may open a few eyes, cuz alot of what your saying is true..but very demeaning. I may not have an answer but this site can’t be the way.. “Philippinessuck.wordpress.com” ??? WTF .. I’m not even filipino and I have alot of respect for the culture. Majority of the population are good people, I’ve traveled all over the world and filipino people are by far the most respectful to one another. It only takes that 1 percent in power to make it all look bad. The Filipino culture is heavely influenced..correct..but look at America..We are a powerhouse of everything from military to young pop culture…and we are influenced by every country in the world. What does America have that is original? I love my fellow Americans but I’m not ignorant to the fact that we think we’re better then every country. That’s what we are taught, since we were kids, and all countries that are powerful are taught the same about their country. Since most of the people in America don’t leave the country, they don’t have a clue. The only reason we make the best movies is because of Hitler..Germany used to make the best..All the good film makers moved to California lol. I agree the media is corrupt and I can tell you firsthand, that it’s very true. A good celebrity friend of mine there told me he wanted to really go all out with a t.v show and really put it down for the philippines, he was shot down because they said why spend all that damn money, when we can make some bullshit and the people will still watch it still. What you really need as a country is the ability to expand your creativity and show the world what your capable of. If the big time politicians werne’t worrying about the short term gains, they would realize that they would be 10 times richer if they let the population innovate and support. The problem is that everybody is out for their own. Which happens in every 3rd world country.. Even 1st world, we’re just able to bullshit it more because we aren’t struggling to eat everyday. We are more concerned with getting the new phone that’s out. So every countries media is corrupt, .. Fox News? whatta joke. The truth is, 1st world countries need 3rd world countries to make huge profits. Buy low and sale high.. It’s the nature of the beast. Until your politicians release the pork barrels and pay the good money for the right personnel to train, manage, and maintain, things won’t change. Why would a expert on say “counter terrorism” go to Philippines and get paid 50k dollars a year on contract “thats about average”..When he can go to Afghanistan and make 200k a year. Hell 120k a year and not constantly dodging rockets sounds great. I bet any professional would give 110 percent effort to keep that job. In a tropical paradise. Your politicians let it happen. Hopefully they bring back the Naval base to Subic and higher out real experts, and pay that lil extra for them. Instead of getting a mediocre douche. Although this coming up year you have a good candidate who actually may do a good job……Ima wrap this up, I started writing this because of the U.S presence comment but ended up ranting..
I just stumbled upon your site today and your articles are quite entertaining.
Actually, I have to agree with your blogs. And no, I do not mean that in a bad way. It’s actually quite truthful. But the thing is, how is it going to help people or make the country any better? All Filipinos do is complain or rant about the most obvious or obscure things but then do nothing about it. So what of it? How do they improve themselves or whatnot? Just so you know, I’m Filipino. Just curious is all.
I hate my country. been a victim of Filipino crab mentality, stupidity and opportunist.
ang mga ganitong pagpuna supposedly as a matured individual should be viewed in a different perspective… ayon nga sa isang manunulat(kung di ako nagkakamali…), “there is nothing more patriotic but to be a critic of your own country… ang hirap kasi sa karamihan sa atin pag napupuna, palaging ang reaction negatibo at palaging ang dating ay parang inaapi tayo… hindi naman kasi pwedeng palaging politically correct na lang ang approach if there’s no other way of saying it… kahit pa kasi politically correct ang pagpuna, iiba at iiba pa rin ang tono…karamihan naman sobrang balat-sibuyas… hihintayin pa ba nating ibang bansa pa ang pumuna sa atin imbes na tayo mismo ang kusang pumuna sa kapwa natin? kung sino man ang may akda nito, most likely hindi niya mai-construct na mas maganda sa pandinig ng nakakarami… pero naniniwala ako na maganda ang intensyon niya at sawa na rin sa mga nakakagawian ng karamihan at siguro sa panahong sinusulat niya ito
Would agree to it based on experience yet would rather hold my opinion… #3,4,5,6,7,8,10, 14!!! but tell ya’ i cannot agree more
make it #19 even friends are abusive… whoever has more money or earns better pays the bills or you’re called selfish or say something behind your back… they base everything on “PAKISAMA”
make it #20 lazy people who blame the government and cannot work 16 hours yet marry and have so many children!
make it #21 invite a friend and you’ll get a “libre mo ako?” answer
make it #22 MADAMING INGITERO! but wouldn’t want to work their ass double time… plus MAHILIG MANGHIRAM ng gamit! major bs!
make it #23 madaming PALA-ASA… pag ang ate, kuya, tatay, nanay nasa abroad ayaw na maghanap ng paraan para sa sarili… asa lang ng asa sa padalang pera
make it #24 madaming mayabang at walang sariling “bay*ag”… feeling big time pero mahilig idawit ang pami-pamilya… i.e. ang tito ko may-ari ng ganito… ang lola ko may-ari ng ganyan… pero sa sarili walang achievement
somehow poverty (in general) breeds envy and denial, that the simplest form of observation turns out to be “crab mentality”, when it can looked at in a different perspective —- somehow in general, filipinos tend to be less optimistic when thrown with a few words.
Just gotta say your blog is refreshing. Keep up the good work. And as a side point, that’s why it’s called TFC channel ( Tears, Fighting, and Crying ) cuz that’s all you see on that channel. Drives me nuts. And, yes, I’m filipino too.
I’m a 14 years old and one of the Filipinos lucky enough to be literate (and badass). After reading some of your entries, I must say, you’ve got everything nailed. It’s amazing how you’re bold enough to stand up and say: “HEY THE PHILIPPINES SUCKS.” When I, myself, cannot say it infront of my class.
I laughed so hard at your entry “18 Reasons Why the Philippines Sucks”. Especially the part where it came to the copycats.
I, for one, enjoy reading your entries. They’re interesting, somewhat funny, and most certainly true. 🙂
Wait that should’ve been ’14 year old’…
damn right this country sucks!! i hate philippines,, i want to leave this country with my family and never go bakc,, and never think about philippines,, hehe..
It is freedom of speech to discuss the shortcomings of the Philippines. They are indeed great.
The Philippines is a 3rd world country hindered by its Spanish-Catholic roots that keeps it a laughing stock of Asia. While all other Asian countries pass it by the Philippines blames every one else for their failures when actually its their own fault that they have failed. Step away from the Catholic Church and really embrace the concept of DEMOCRACY………..at this time the Philippines can not be a democracy or a Republic……..its an Oligarchy
Maybe in 100 years they will catch up to the rest of the planet but by then the rest of the planet will have advance and and they will still be 100 years behind,.
It’s not the country that sucks literally, it’s the people. Ever since, in every turmoil and hurdle in life, all they could do is to laugh – in which, they are very proud of. This are the people who regards the trapos, politicos and the churches of sacrosanct with a great deal of respect, clingers to God for health and food, worshippers and prayers of hope with an all day clasps of hands without basically doing nothing, yet, contented. #wrongpridepinoy.
for those who hate philippines:
leave the philippines.
* to ” ha ha ”
not all filipinos smell bad and not all of us speak taglish. Thats not even a word. Maybe some call it ” conyo ” hahaha. okay =)
Yes! This website is amazing. I don’t consider it hurtful or hateful at all. Filipinos are truly ignorant, however ignorance IS curable. I think your blog is one step of the way! Please keep doing what you’re doing (: I am a half filipina, and was living in the U.S. and always claiming I was sooo proud to be from the philippines. Then I moved here and it really opened my eyes. The people of this country are ignorant, racist, misogynistic, and so religious they are borderline fundamentalists. But blogs like this, give me a little hope.
The Truth about Filipina Women
Filipina Women are not as nice, caring and loving as you may think or heard of. THEY ARE FAKE!!
At the beginning there are but one they got what there are after (marriage, visa, and money) than you can see their true face.
Filipina women are VERY materialistic, it’s always about MONEY
In every Phone Conversation you will hear the word Money within the 1st 2 minutes
And greedy (never happy with what they got, always want more, better and bigger)
The same with Relationship, at the beginning you are good enough to open the Door for her but as soon as her Citizenship is stamped in her passport, she will start looking for another man.
Greedy: madamot, maramot, sakim
Avaricious: gahaman
Glutton: takaw, matakaw gluttony: pagkamatakaw,
Selfish: makasarili Selfishness: pagkamakasarili
And of course very Selfish
Very jealous (if there Filipina friend got a new 40inch TV they want a 45inch TV)
They always want to buy, just to have it not to use it. (She will properly make a picture of it and show it to her “friends” on Facebook to show off)
When you buy her a present, she will look 1st at the Label to decide if she likes it!
You are judgemental and its not fair that you stereotype whole Filipina based on the person you have in relation with. Not all Filipina have same characteristics with that girl you meet but definitely not only Filipina have that kind of attitude. It is because you had experience it with a FIlipina it is wrong to say that all Filipina do that. Dont be so narrow minded just because you had it before in your life.
What if I say that all americans or Europeans are hypersexual or horny? Looking for girls in the enternet and show off their suposedly private parts of the body. You think I have right to say that, I think no because not al americans and europeans are like that, As well as with you you dont have to say Filipinas are like that because not all Filipinas and not only Filipinas doing that.
hey frank, i think you generalize too much. we are not talking about your experiences here with women. not all Filipinas are like that. if you think your point is true, then i’d say that Filipino men are a**holes because i’ve had a bad experience with one. lol
Most of what I’ve read is sadly true. The ONLY way this country is ever going to improve is to get to the ROOT of the ROT.
1) birth control
2) breeding large families in poverty produces more poverty
3) teach the children, manners, hygene etc in schools
4) educate them all
5) find some educated, clean, decent, uncorruptable people & put them into
clean government
6) cheating/lying/stealing/killing is the acceptable way of life in the Phils.
Surely the Catholic Church could do more? Going to worship once a week
doesn’t make them good citizens.
7) introduce gun laws/start a tax system…then u hv revenue to build proper
roads/hospitals/intfrastructure etc
THE LIST GOES ON,but,it can be done!
true that! it’s just so sad and annoying that the government and most of its politicians are so focused on making money, instead of serving its countrymen. it’s all about popularity and wealth. John Maxwell said, “It all boils down to leadership.” If the leaders are corrupt, what more its people. Just look at the MMDA officers.
Hope you can have an article about how media manipulates the mind of the filipinos. I noticed that what makes filipino emotional is because of what they’d watched on television affects them and adopts it. And also how religion blind faith affects filipino’s mentality. And last, why filipinos vote celebrities to be politicians despite of being uneducated. HAHA! Looking forward to your new issue.
Great blog! Spit the truth, accept the truth, and we will all be free. 😀
Heyyy there…
Read this at around 1 in the morning before I sleep.
Great blog you have here, it’s very interesting.
Now I wonder…
will Martial Law make the Philippines a better place?
comments will be gladly accepted.. thanks in advance to those who will respond.
Also, I’m sorry if I made grammar errors, english is not my best language. (and so is Filipino =D)
Nice blog here! It’s a very nice read
Now I’m wondering, would martial law make the Philippines better?
Thanks for your future responses. 🙂
for your info i have been to the philippines 8 times (because i love the beauty of those islands) i have met many filipina and filipino during my visits and i have been in relationship with 3 filipina (i am now married to one) What i wrote here earlier is true and experience i had over the years, not just one experience!
way to go, frank. tell ’em…!
LOL “Be the first to like this.”!!!
Who ever is the writer of this stupid website is a PUNK ASS BITCH……
You don’t live here so shut the fuck up….
…and you “FUCK YOU” keep going to Thailand ones every 2 years and spend your benefits on poor Thaigirls
My business partner and I traveled to the Philippines in the late 70’s. While there my colleague met a philippina girl. She was much younger then him.
She worked as a night dancer/prostitute in Roxas Avenue . He move that girl out of the room she shared with two other philippinos. And move her to the Intercontinental hotel in Makati. I recall this girl hasn’t class, eduaction, nothing. He got her parents and 11 siblings from the province to Manila in a Ferry.
My colleague paid for all their expenses. After dated the girl for over a year. He left the Philippines and asked me to shared the apt with her. While she waited for him to get her a visa to come to the States. That way she would never has to worked as a prostitute again in her life. They got married and moved to Europe were their first child born. While in Europe the philippina asked my businness partner if he could bring her favorite sister to Europe.
He did brought his sister in law to Europe plus he paid for her to came to the States. While in the USA my friend has to found a prospect husband so her sister in law could get her green card. He even offered to paid any guy who would marry her. Finally they find a foul who marries the sister in law in Las Vegas. So now sister in law got her green card this was back in 1986.
My ex colleague traveled the World so his Philippina wife.
Back then Phillipinos were not welcome in certain countries, but my partner was able to get his wife and sister in law in some of them. Because he’d connections and made a lot of money at the time. In the 90’s his wife asked my businness partner, if this time he could bring her Mom and Dad to the States.
My friend said Sure Honey ! At this ponit my friend got 4 green card for this family. He bought a house with many rooms so the Filipino extended family could feel like Queen’s & King’s. A few years went by and the former whore started to cheat on my businness partner.
That girl has never worked since hooked up with my colleague. Not everybody knew about her dark past. My friend decided to made up a history about how they met. Because she was ashamed of her past and wanted to kept this behind.
My associate would tell me, that his wife would say to her friends in the Philippines that she used to work in the Bahia restaurant .
To other people, their relatioship started at the Fort Bonifacio base were she was a clerk or secretary. This became their ”favorite history”
After all she was a prostitute in Manila red light district.
The only reason she was at the Bahia restaurant was when her Jonh took her there on dates.
She said to everyone who want to listen that she was a manager for our business. Nothing so far from the true. The only thing this woman has managed in her life is her pussy. My business partner was a foul and I felt sorry for him at the time. He got sucked and scammed by this woman.
I believe her family name was Dalumos o Bagares something like that.
In all honesty, this person speaks the truth. I think these are entries describing the masses. If you’re a filipino intelligent enough to comprehend the point that this person is trying to make, then this website probably isn’t describing you – so don’t take offense.
Definitely an interesting read
The author loves the country so much that he focuses on the negatives in order to turn it into positives.
Most filipinos are over-indulgent, superstitious, hyper-sensitive, overtly-emotional, overbearing to the point of arrogance and cannot take constructive criticism very well. Also the celebrity-worship to the point that they elect them into public office and crab mentality.
And I am Filipino to boot. Glad you’re doing this, OP. Thank you.
Why haven’t you made an article about the recent shitty mainstream trend of the philippines’ version of HONEY F*CKING BOO BOO called “RYZZA MAE DIZON”?
It’s so fucking obvious it’s the filipino trend of COPYING/COPYCATTING EVERYTHING and they’re just trying to get on the American Honey BOBO bandwagon.
The child is so fucking annoying! ME AND MY FRIENDS AGREE.
– When she talks she makes inflections to the word “PO”. You’d think she’s being respectful but the truth is SHE’S ACTUALLY DOING THAT TO GAIN ATTENTION. Papansin! AND SHE COMES OFF AS OVERACTING.
– She’s so damn annoying. I have seen YOUNGER children ACT SMARTER and TALK LESS.
– Obviously they had to pick a child that looks EXACTLY LIKE HONEY BOO BOO.
– HER VOICE IS FUCKING GRATING. IT SOUNDS LIKE THE HORRIBLE RINGING FEEDBACK FROM A MICROPHONE THAT JUST WON’T SHUT UP.
COME ON PHILIPPINES.
GAIN SOME FUCKING INTELLIGENCE SO I CAN STOP BEING ASHAMED OF MY DAMN COUNTRY.
She’s just a child. Get over it. You are just jealous because she is popular and you aren’t. Plus, she is not saying “po” to gain attention, but to be respectful. Sad, how teenagers and kids older than her, rarely says “po” as a sign of respect to elders.
I have found that Government related services in the Philippines are terrible. Most electrical companies cannot provide reliable power. There is no low cost of living in the Philippines, only a myth.
Gamitin mo ang utak mo!
I have found that The Philippines seems to be document happy. For even the simplest of services, several documents are needed. Also, the electrical service is dreadful. What are called “brown outs” are in reality “power failures”. Yet such poor service is accepted.
hehehehe… I have no hate towards filipinos, but many of the replies I’ve read reinforces common flip stereotypes such as they have too much pride, are people who try to exude intelligence but in actuality are stupid, and not to mention stealers. The key to success is integrity and respect. Wish you all the best in reforming your country and lives.
I hate the fact that they’re entire economy is and always has been based on undercutting labor and stealing jobs from other countries. They are a nation of labor ‘scabs’. They are short and sguat and ugly, the women have no breasts and look like men and all have a desire to grab a tall, handsome, European or American man with a fat wallet. The are over emotional and ridiculously prideful over a country that has NEVER really done one thing to speak of other then steal industry and culture from others. They have no art, no culture, no music no industry of their own, no inventions, nothing they just ride on the backs of the rest of the world and copy everything from other cultures and always have. If I were a Pino I would hang my head in shame instead of bragging and boasting about my dirty, grimmey heritage.
Lisa, I must disagree with your description of Philippine women. I have seen several very attractive filipinas. And I also have seen many that have breasts. But I do agree with your fat wallet comment. The man does not have to be handsome or tall. I think all the has to be, is alive.
All of you are right and wrong, the Philippines is not my place of birth, but I have been living there for a while and have been married to the same lady for a while.
Yes, it is true that there is little culture and history, but I believe they should blame the spanish and american colonial rulers for that, the spanish for leaving the country in a mess as they did in all their colonies and the americans for putting them into a dream, of which I believe will not wake up from unless they realise what mess they really are in.
Countries like Vietnam/Thailand/Malaysia are doing a lot better, mainly because they swallow their pride and accept direct foreign investment/advice, and make visitors feel welcome.
I would say the government at this time is trying hard, but as long the attitude of the people doesn’t change, it will remain as it is.
I made the mistake of moving from the U.S. to the Philippines. I was led to believe that the Philippines offered a low cost of living. That is nonsense. The price of land, automobiles and inferior electric service, is insulting. Brownouts (actually power failures) are too common. Nobody seems to anything about this. Until many complain and take a stand, this problem will continue.
Last time I went to Philippines for vacation, i was disappointed at the lack of infrastructure for the public welfare, such as schools, hospitals, and other needful necessities. Most of the new buildings are Malls and Restaurants, and the growing the number of rich subdivisions with high walls surrounding it.
The source of poverty and corruption in the Philippines is the lack of education given to its citizens, thus an accumulation of ignorant people whose only source of education is the boob tube of filipino media. And its not their fault, the rich uses this as population control to make sure the poor people which is the majority in the Philippines remain ignorant for their own benefit. Making easier for them to retain their power, and shove idiotic rubbish such as Filipino entertainment down their throat. This is known conspiracy between political families and Filipino celebrities to tie down poor people where they believe they belong as their indentured slaves. Its People Power is rubbish as they have no courage, nor intelligence (again lack of educational support system) to revolutionized their country. Countries recently like Egypt or Iran have more democratic spirit in their citizens as their willing to rally to oust their government and make a better country. Philippines is not a democratic country it is a myth, it is merely an Oligarchy government where the rich make sure their own children inherit their position, thus a bastardization of government. Just like when you intermarry within your own family, like the medieval days in Europe creating weak offspring. The government is weakened likewise.
Philippines- The Mexico of Asia
Poor Filipinos. Same ole Same ole…to much tv and copying. Monkey see monkey do. What’s up with the entertainment? It’s like the whole nation, from old to poor are so into music…it’s like every pinoy wants to be a rock star or thinks he/she is so into themselves. Every Filipina thinks they are just a gift from the Gods. Please!!!!!!!!. Poorness of heart and wealth is understandable, but poorness of mind and the ability to think independently is what lacks in the Filipino prowess to become better. There is education, but only education to memorize, to get out of poverty and motivate for financial reasons. There is no philosophy integrated into the Filipino mindset. There is no sense of freedom and no one is has rights to freedom, not even to think freely to voice out “Let‘s change our mindset, our attitude“. All independent thinking is suppressed by the government and it’s culture. If other people criticize the country or any one from it, instead of learning and changing it, everyone gets angry and won’t accept criticism and non-apologetic.
What’s the deal? No wonder people think Filipinos are crazy aside from being power hungry. It’s a nation of power freaks, gays, ultra religious/superstitious, arrogant, care-less people who don’t want to better themselves or the nation. (?)They just want to sing and dance all day While all the politicians cheat on the wives. Majority of the television shows sponsor family miss-communication and dysfunction and don’t show enough educational-science and philosophy programs. There are a lot of smart Filipinos. Those are only few are of are the elite who choose not to stay in the country. Good for them….I wouldn’t want to be in a place where society is a crab society…
This is somewhat of a extraordinary group of people. I don’t think any one will understand the mentality of the Filipino aside from themselves. I don’t even think Filipinos have a identity of themselves as a country. This country is in need of an overhaul, not just financially, but just a new change of mind and spirit.
Better off if Filipinos had other dominant religions like Judaism, Protestantism, or Budhism…Anything that promotes discipline. No doubt Filipinos are happy people which is good, but just being happy without having a sense of accomplishment is not good. When are Filipino’s going to change?
Filipinos need a new fresh start on everything. First and for most, I think this is a multi-step path that everyone is looking for:
1. Change in the media/entertainment: Start incorporating descent shows instead of the dysfunctional family model showimg where someone in the family hates the boy/girl friend because of poorness, family member is so distraught they are hospitalized, and then someone dies in the family because of all the yelling…besides you can’t understand people when they keep yelling – This is totally opposite from Carl Jungs betterment to psychology. Show descent shows with innocent themes instead of kidnappings and syndicates.
2. Start removing Homosexuals from the entertainment sector – This is bad, and makes the Filipino media look shameful when showcasing that your influential people are Homosexual throughout the world.
3. Stop all the Bribery…Bribery should be a prison sentence depending on how grevious the crime is.
4. Stop crabbing people from prosperity…Be glad for people who are going out of their way to a better lifestyle.
5. The Filipino – Catholic Church should be temporarly shut down until a formal disciplinatic religion is incorporated. Cathlosicm in general should be shut down. It is a terrible religion, it is devlish and has nothing to do with biblical/Judaic philosophy. It’s full of Idolatry. Better off Muslims/Judaism/Shinto’s /Budhist. No Idolatry and focuses more on a cleaner/healthier lifestyle…so much discipline incorporated instead Ghosts and things that go bump in the night.
6. Respect – Respect each others beliefs and opinions and don’t take criticism personally.
Scrub all the entertainment and someone should make a better more civilized form of entertainment…can’t believe people go on shows just wiging it…Isn’t there a script to go by? What’s with all the yelling and catfighting on the teleseria’s…so embarasing…I thought Mexicans were bad. Seems like Filipino’s, everytime my family member turns on the tube to TFC, without even looking at the picture, you can here all the freakin’ fighting on the program. After the TV is off, the real deal happens and the family goes off on a tiraed. What’s up? Someitme I feel like I wanna drop a bombm n my own people and end it. Y’all Filipino’s need to calm your asses down and tell pacquiio, please not to run for any political office. Ya’ll crazy people. Why don’t ya’ll get along? Is it the food, to much rice or to much pork? Or is it to much gamlbing/mahjong? Crap duudes, ya’ll need to get a life of a cleaner lifestyles. Oer and out.
Too many stores fail to have a reliable stock. Too often I have heard “out of stock”. Now I hear “sold out at this time”. Are these stores victimized by poor management?
You are so mean, but I do not have the right to judge you since you are expressing your own thoughts. Few questions though, why are you writing these things online? And why choose the English language?
stfu @kaili u no nutting dey suk hard bitch #philippinessuck
Because Tagalog sounds like roosters howling in pain after being stabbed several times. In other words, it’s never pretty. It’s also the most useless language in the world. Unless you frequent cruise ships or have several maids in your house. The author isn’t mean, he is frank. You are the problem, not him.
i agree diko sucks dick
Why do the Filipinos enjoy littering? Even if they migrate to other countries they like to leave their rubbish everywhere despite bins are available just 5 feet away?
How can these people be educated not to litter?
